Invisible House - Joshua Tree
Preferred Insulation Contractors, Inc. had the opportunity to perform specialized mechanical insulation work at the iconic Invisible House in Joshua Tree, California. Our team installed high-performance R-Max rigid insulation board and custom-fabricated metal cladding on the rooftop mechanical units to help prevent condensation issues within the indoor pool area. This project required precision workmanship, attention to detail, and durable weather-resistant finishes to ensure long-term protection and performance. We are proud to have contributed our expertise to such a unique architectural property while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanshipPreferred Firestopping is a key part of maintaining the integrity of the structure and safety of the patients, as well as firefighters in the line of duty in the event of a structure fire by performing all firestopping for the through plumbing penetrations on the project.
Burbank Village Walk - Burbank, Ca
Burbank Village Walk sits on one city consistingof two levels of underground parkin, 1 floor of retail and 4 floors of luxury condominiums. Preferred Insulation Contractors, Inc. and their mechanical contratctor teamed up on this project together, insulating and firestopping on all 140 units, including the lower level retail and parking. Due to the extreme space and time constraints on this project, Preferred and their mechanical staff worked hand-in-hand to meet this projects tight schedule.
Rancho Mirage High School - Mirage Ca
Rancho Mirage High School is the 4th comprehensive high school in the Palm Springs Unified School District. Its sits on over 60 acres touting over 12 buildings. This brand new facility is capable of handling up to 2,300 students. Preferred Insulation insulated over 30,000 lineal feet of chilled and heating hot water piping and nearly 5 miles of duct work. Preferred Insulation is proud to be a part of the mechanical team for this state of the art high school.
UCSD Music Center - San Diego, Ca
UCSD's state-of-the-art Music center was built with an emphasis on sound. Preferred engineered a sound reduction system to address the concern of noise control throughout the air ducts of the 150-seat lecture hall, rehearsal rooms, hall for multimedia and music theater works. The noise reduction system proved to be a key element in the success of the facility
